Just a few suggestions

Firstly I don't know why there isn't a central suggestions/requests page!
Recently tried the program. Fantastic. A lot of really nice features, super stable, nice gui update.
Some problems I have encountered though:
No 32-bit to 64-bit bridge for 32-bit plugins.
When importing a multi-track/channel midi file it will only route the first track to the module meaning that you then have to manually drag and drop what maybe over a dozen tracks. I've also found it very hit or miss as to whether its recognised as a child track or whether its recognised as a child track of the child track! Kind of fiddly.
Please add the ability to select multiple tracks at the same time e.g. SHIFT or CTRL clicking.
It would be nice if the browser recognised more than wav files.
No option to freeze a track.
Linux version!
Panic Button Shortcut
Undo Shortcut (perhaps next to Snap Settings)
Also a pdf manual would be great.

Yes, MuLab is a great, well working and inspiring DAW. And it's affordable - buy it!
I guess there is no central FR-page, because when a feature is asked for, a discussion starts immediately ...
When I open a multitrack-MIDI-file, MuLab generates tracks for each MIDI-track. And you are right, assigning them takes some clicks. But you can save a presetted template-file once and don't have to hassle next time.
You find Panic with a right-click on the play-button easily.
And for offline-use you can download the docs here: http://www.mutools.com/info/docs.zip
It's html instead of pdf, but anyway it's useful.

Yeah I totally agree on the select multiple tracks (and racks/ faders for that matter) thing
panic button shortcut you can set yourself from the shortcut menu
and undo shortcut? that's just 'ctrl Z' as in most applications

Yes, it is possible to make one's own "New" template which is loaded by default and containing all the things one could want (even a personal MIDI implementation, mapping, preloaded instruments and/or effects, etc).nenneb wrote:Yes, MuLab is a great, well working and inspiring DAW. Once a tweak is done, there is just a simple thing to to:
- Menu "Project"
- then "Save as template" in the sub-menu "User". It is possible to create as many templates as one could want. And if one of them is named "New" it is this one which will be loaded by default the next times Mulab is launched, with all the parameters (MIDI mapping, etc). That's all.
The dark-grey vertical menu which pops-up above the Welcome picture at the launch of Mulab is extremely useful too to choose among these template immediately at the start of Mulab even before the opening of its main screen.

About the doc... it is also possible to download it, totally, in the form of a single zip file:
You just download it, then unzip it wherever you want (in the same folder as your copy of Mulab or your copy of MUX is the best choice)... and there you are. When you need the help you open your local help (it is totally comprehensive) by opening the file "...\MuLab (64 bit)\docs\index.html" (you can put it elsewhere if you prefer) instead of opening a file "Mulab.pdf". The effect is exactly the same apart that it will be opened in your browser instead of in your PDF reader.
The zip file of the help is updated periodically to reflect all the updates of Mulab and MUX themselves.
To check the date of the last update of the zip file, check this page:

I think a panic feature should not be hidden in menus or require right-clicking anything. It should be one key (Esc, ideally) and a dedicated button on the GUI.
It's like with calling the firefighters, I don't want to dial in a 9-digit number when my house is on fire
Or think of emergency off switches in factories, it is often a single red button that is accessible at all times.

You can assign a shortcut to the Panic function.
