Activation - drag and drop not possible

I purchased Sylenth1 back in 2012. Now I have finally updated to v3.028.

I am just not able to activate it offline.

The simple problem is that for me it is absolutely impossible to drag and drop my license file (no matter if it is my old original one or the new one that I have generated using my serial and the activate file) into Sylenth's activation window.

I can drag and drop my license file all around my computer screen as I please. But as soon as my windows mouse arrow, together with the symbol of the license.dat file, touches the activation window, the arrow turns into this "strictly forbidden sign".

cannot be made come true on my computer.

I am completely helpless. What can I do? Is there any location file where I can manually place my license file into?

BTW: Windows 7, Cubase 7.5

EDIT: Meanwhile I have found a solution. If you DON'T run Cubase as an admin (which I have always thought you should) then dragging and dropping works. I do not understand why but, well, it has worked out that way.
