Traction 6 USB I/O issues with Behringer X18 mixer.

I'm about to give up on Traction 6 DAW !

USB I/O setup issues with:
- Behringer x18 with Android Xair app.
- laptop with windows 10 and Traction 6 DAW

I can record a number of tracks in Traction, that correspond to the inputs on my Behringer X 18, but they all only play back on the last channel that I recorded through in my Behringer x18.

i.e. - I record on tracks 1,2 & 3 using my Behringer X18 as my I/O device, into tracks 1,2 & 3 in Traction, but these 3 recorded tracks only play back on channel 3 of my X18, if I record to track 4 using the X18 input 4, tracks 1,2,3 & 4 all show up as individual tracks in Traction, but will only play back on Channel 4 of my Behringer X18, but all individual tracks are playing back in Traction 6

Any advice on what I may be doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.

Not really understanding the issue but try clicking on a track header (say, 1) in Tracktion then selecting a different 'Track Destination' in the properties panel?

Also, check all your outputs are showing in the settings/audio devices tab.

guess you need to specify a correct default output in settings/audiodevices.
by default tracks are routed to the "default output" set there. it should be a stereopair of the outputs available for your x18.

there is also routing available inside the x18 app for the usb inputs coming from the computer.
check what is set there also.

you can also specify the source for the main (masterbus) output in the mixer via the app. you can choose usb 1/2 for example and set this to default output in tracktion settings.
don't forget to set it back to "L/R" when you want to use it as a normal mixer again!

when you use a track pair in the x18 as the input for usb (that's the default routing) you need to switch to usb on the input settings of these tracks. these need to be switched back also, to use the mic-inputs for mixing/recording again.

maybe choose channels you don't use (like 17/18) for the returnpath from the computer and set them to usb for the input. by default you would have to choose the same numbers (usb output 17/18 in tracktion settings) as your default output for tracktion.

be aware that this mixer is a flexible and powerful thing, that needs to be learned
