I see an unexpected high CPU load whenever I open one of my MeldaProduction plug-ins in Pro Tools. I have MMultiAnalyzer, MCompare and MAutoAlign. See this animated gif:

Image

Steps to Reproduce
1. Create any session with one stereo audio track.
2. Instantiate MMultiAnalyzer on the track.
3. Open Windows Task Manager and take a note of the current overall CPU usage.
4. Open the GUI of MMultiAnalyzer.
5. Notice the jump in CPU usage in Task Manager.

Comments
I guess all MeldaProduction plug-ins have this bug in my Pro Tools version.

That's actually normal - it's the drawing. Whenever there is some analyzer or anything, and that's in all plugins probably, the engine starts to redraw it all the time. It's actually not a bit deal and it shouldn't interfere with the actual processing. However if you want to lower the CPU usage, click Settings and select lower FPS. It is 80 by default, which is probably overkill, but it provides a really smooth response for all drawing and modern computers seem to handle this without problems. But from V11 it will probably default to 60 as the improvement for 80 is very low and takes probably too much CPU.

Shouldn't this be rendered on the GPU?

Yes, but the CPU is still sending the data there, and waits for it often too. The CPU meters then may provide quite incorrect results anyways.

Thanks. I'll lower the FPS to 60 and see. I don't recall having this issue with previous MeldaProduction plug-in versions and Pro Tools versions, but I'm not entirely sure.

I wouldn't worry about it too much. The CPU meters are often a little bit off :). And as I said, this generally shouldn't interfere with processing.
