Re porting of PC Rack stuff to Macoroni.

I now have the Macoroni set up and the development tools are installing as I speak. (doing it through VNC - clunky but cool. Means I don't have to sit in the kitchen where the macoroni is)

What do you want first? ModuLR thinks stepchild is the most requested. Is this where you'd like me to start?

My head is in process of rebooting into code mode as I speak. Jolly juice consumption will stop as of tommorow.

Wish me luck. I've got to run my Delphi head and my C++ head at same time!

man, that's great you are undertaking this.
me for myself I do not need anything first or second, just as long as it's done right.
stepchild would be nice, but also all these building block things.

Stepchild would be great. I appreciate your effort, especially since the only programming I ever did was in Basic on a C64.....

Thanks for your efforts. Having not experienced any of the PC plugs I can't really say. Senderella sounds like a worthy experience, as does the enhanced browser ... i don't know what Mod finally called it ...

Mmmm. The C64!

I was 13 years old when I coded my first animated sprite on the C64 using assembly language. Oh if only I could have done things different. Instead of going to university I embarked on a rebellious life of drink and drugs. Now 32 I've finally got my degree (though I dropped out of Honours year!) and a lot of regrets.

Programmings not that difficult. Just requires a lot of work.

Thank you so much Karben! When I posted in the mixer forum, I really hoped that someone like you might step up!

I'll add my vote for Stepchild first.
Senderella and Get Out would be great next.
After that...
The browser window looks cool.
The new mixer is very intriguing.

Did I say thanks already? ....and a big thanks to Mod, Valley, Rack Bitz and others for coming up with the cool plugs.....and Niall for getting us started with his mac ports...and Jules for writing such a great host. Trying not to leave anyone out.

Spent all day in the car driving home from Florida - 14 hours. Sleep then studio.

OK chaps. He's not the messiah and all that. I have not looked at or done Delphi code for 4 years. I have not looked at or done C++ code for 4 years. I'm a bloody good programmer (so the uni says anyway), my work on genetic algorithms is rather good.
Now Delphi is dolly dimple and C++ is fine if your carefull. ModuLR is right when he says Delphi is best for hacking up VSTs. Why is the world so hooked on C++? I think it's a macho thing.
I'm going to have to do GUI shit from scratch. Ain't no VCL (visual component library) on a Macoroni! Apart from throwing midi notes about the shop I think most of my work will be GUI (am I right here mods?)
What I'm saying is - give me time! Somebody with more mac experience or even pc/mac porting GUIs experience would be better for the job than me. In the mean time, your stuck with me. I'm commited to this and I will do it.

Hmmm. Just read that and it sounds a bit grim and a big deal! It's not. stepchild.vst for OSX on its way!
