Hi,
when I try to change the pattern preset in pattern generator/pattern style bassline (in my case from "air" to "benassi") it crashes waveform instantly and EVRY time. Problem for me seems that there are always same presets no matter if you choose "bassline" or "chords" as pattern style, that could not work. And its not clear in evry case if it meant for bass or chord.

I haven't been able to reproduce this crash. Can you get it to happen in a new edit or does it only happen in a specific edit?
If you could share an archive with roland@tracktion.com that reproduces the crash that would be helpful.

Just happened again:
- I am on the way making a song only out of patterns from the new tool
- I have two chord sequences, 8 bars long each
- Now I was just copying one of my start sequences to make a third song part
- Then I want to change the chord preset to another one
- As soon as I choose another one it crashes instantly (see attached screens)
What do you mean exactly with

A song ? Special form to save a song in waveform ? Would be happy to help solving this bug.If you could share an archive with roland@tracktion.com that reproduces the crash that would be helpful.

Got it now what you mean with the "archive", email sent, hope you get it fixed, it is a marvellous new tool to make a sketch in no time and with fun and easy if evrything works as it should.
Would be great to have a great archive for presets, maybe something in the forum to exchange presets. The thing with the midi to save as preset is great of course (have not tried that one out) but hundreds, thousands
of presets would be just great for fun and easy try out of lot of crazy things

What I forgot and maybe thats the cause of all the trouble:
- would be great to have it categorized right so that for bassline you only get bassline presets and for chords only chords presets, maybe an additional category if you HAVE kind of whole song with presets for evry category

Deleted the clip that causes the trouble. Copied the one from track 1 (which was a chord pattern clip too) to track 8. Now I can change the chord preset with no problems, thats really strange. Maybe you could not have two chord pattern clips at the same time ? Or do I have too rename the clips ? Strange.......

I was working with the Pattern Generator too, and I had no crashes but I did have a problem. When I split a track, and moved the split section down the timeline, the pattern clears and I can't get it to accept any new patterns. I can't do anything with the clip, it just remains empty. I have to delete the empty track and place a new MIDI clip in there, and then I can fill it with a pattern.
