OK this is a bit daft - if I try and open one of my T7 files in Waveform it warns me it's going to convert it so I won't then be able to open it in T7. Well then why make it so it work that way when the sensible thing would be to give the user the option to save the converted version as a new file rather than replacing the old one?
I guess the workaround is to make a duplicate file just for Waveform - I can see this creating multiple versions in the same project though - some that open in T7 and some in Waveform, which is also daft. This is where there needs to be a better file management system so I drag all the Waveform edits into their own project.
How to open a T7 edit without converting it?

When T6 came out it converted the files also when importing but left the old version also. Back in T5 one had to change the file to open. Could it be the same now?
