WaveForm crashes to desktop when "Run Audio Engine When Stopped" is re-enabled

I have a test project that was created in Tracktion 7. I loaded it up in WaveForm, and while I was vigorously playing keys on the MIDI keyboard controller, the three layered-together VSTi synthesizers must have overloaded the CPU, and so the audio engine was disabled by WaveForm. I saved the edit and closed WaveForm. I restarted WaveForm and the audio engine was still disabled for the project (must have saved that way in the edit file). When I try to re-enable the audio engine via the "Options -> Run Audio Engine When Stopped" menu item, WaveForm crashes to desktop.

Waveform Version 8.0.23 (Built: 1 April 2017) (64-bit)

EDIT: I cannot explain it. Now it is not crashing anymore; I was able to successfully re-enable the audio. I will attach crash logs...
