I have setup my controller (Arturia Keylab) to transmit Mackie Control protocol (using what I thought was MCU) to Waveform - start/stop and ff/rew are working but record does nothing. Arturia assure me it is sending the right messages, which seems true as it does work using the same protocol in other hosts so far (eg Bitwig) so Waveform seems to be expecting something different.
Actually looks like punch, undo and metronone are also mapped differently

Is there a difference between Mackie Universal and Mackie Control (classic) perhaps? If so why doesn't Waveform support Mackie classic too?

To start recording you need to press and hold record and then press play
Waveform has it's own mapping for the MCU, some controls are slightly different. Mackie used to sell a lexan overlay for it: http://www.loudtechnologies.eu/shop/dat ... m_2291.jpg

Ah I see - it works differently to how it does using mouse, I was hoping for a one button action as with other hosts, 2 is more awkward and seems unnecessary
Also why are the other actions different considering it's a standard protocol (or supposed to be)?
