What version are you running?
8.0.26 (just released) has introduced new midi controller issues.

The midi issues should only affect Windows. Was this working in previous versions of Waveform. So far I can't reproduce the issue.

yes it worked on the previous version. when i go into settings, it has the output enabled, but the 2 inputs for my axiom 49 controller is disabled. i have enabled each one, but there is still no signal in the sequencer when i set up a midi track. i have also used different synths, but no joy...

Can you click on the MIDI input and send me a screenshot of the settings. Send it to roland@tracktion.com

I am using the latest version of Waveform on an iMac with an original Axiom 49, and it is working.

Can you check the "Control Surfaces" settings page and then any custom surfaces you may have set up.
Do you have the Axiom set up as an "Input Device" to any of these? If so, is the "Hide MIDI Input Device" option enabled? If so, this will stop it from appearing in the list of MIDI inputs in an Edit.

Waveform crashes when I try to activate the second midi out on my Roland UM-2G midi interface. Both inputs and the first output work as they should.
I run the latest build (downloaded today) 64 bit version on Windows 10.

Hmm, if this isn't the cause I'm not sure why it wouldn't be appearing.
the setting I referring to is shown in the attached screenshot. Is this where you have checked that it is turned off? Do other input devices appear (e.g. other MIDI inputs or audio inputs)?
Do you have the "Run audio engine when stopped" option from the Edit screen "Options" button enabled? This can sometimes temporarily remove input devices if you try to view them whilst the audio engine is stopped. If it isn't ticket can you enable it and then press play to ensure the engine is running. Do they appear in the list now?
