Okay, I guess I actually have 2 questions now. 1.) Does a license of T5 from a Mackie product qualify for the upgrade to Waveform? and 2.) Do the upgrade licenses come with Melodyne Essential?

Anybody know? I'm asking because on the feature comparison page "Melodyne Essential (pitch)" is listed as a general feature of Waveform. However, the store page only has a picture of Melodyne in Waveform+ Pack and above.

It should come with all versions, but the basic $99 version for first time buyers has no mention of it in the MarketPlace, which looks like an oversight. However, if you scroll down on the Waveform link below, it lists the features, and it does mention that Melodyne Essential is included with Waveform.

I picked up the Waveform basic edition, and it does indeed come with a license for Melodyne Essential.

Great, thanks! That at least confirms that the basic full version comes with Melodyne. What I'm actually wanting to do (I should have been more clear in the op) is upgrade from an old Tracktion 5 license to Waveform Basic. Does anybody know if this comes with a Melodyne license? If you look at the store page for the Waveform+ upgrade it lists Melodyne in the features, so I'm kind of thinking that if that comes with Melodyne, and if the full Basic version comes with Melodyne, then the Basic upgrade probably does as well? They really need to be more clear about exactly what you're getting in the shop.

Can't help ya there, but I think it would be safe to assume that an upgrade should be comparable to a new user paying full price.

I believe Melodyne Essential first came with T5 in 2014, so if you bought that at the time, you ought to have had a licence key for it. It might be worth your while passing your details to support to see if they can help.

I actually have an OEM copy of T5, which does not seem to have come with Melodyne (my "special offers" section in my account is empty). I believe OEM copies are eligible for the upgrade path, although again I'm not 100% sure. They really need a FAQ or something to clarify this stuff.

Difficult. I had a sort of OEM copy (T1.6) which came with Mackie Spike and wasn't upgradable. Probably best to check with support.
