Ok,
I may be talking out my backside here, but when I open the midi editor, I'm expecting it to open up around where the play head is.
But I seem to get the whole clip bunched up in the in editing the panel, and then have to scroll out to try and find the area I want to edit.
The only DAW I've ever really used, is tracktion/Waveform (brief flirt with cakewalk guitar studio many moons ago),consequently I've never used a midi editor. Is this the normal behaviour?
thanks

It shows the whole clip you open. Personally, I think this makes the most sense. Use the scroll wheel to zoom in the area where you put the mouse cursor.
