Hi,
3.0.31 loses the third party bank shortcut from the menu, that is the Custom Bank. At least on my system. Cubase 9. Sierra.4

When you go to load, it only shows Factory Bank, if you then load a third party bank, it creates a new subfolder called Current which shows all the Third Party Banks in that folder,
Until....you remove the instance and start a new instance and Current (Third Party) Bank is gone.

Yes, the Current item simply shows the folder location of the loaded soundbank (which is different for each instance). You can still set your own custom soundbank folder in the Settings file. Click MENU -> Open Data Folder, then browse to Config and open Settings.xml, then set your custom soundbank path, for example:

<SoundBankCustomFolder path="D:\Sounds\Sylenth1" recursive="1"/>

Then save it and restart Sylenth1. Either way, it is recommended to store all your soundbanks in the SoundBanks directory in Sylenth1's data folder instead. You can create subdirectories for easy access.

Is this new with 3.031? I think you have changed it twice already in the last year no?

That is as of version 3 I had to move my third party banks in with the factory banks,
then as of 3.024, I had to move them out,
now I move them back in?

No, we never said you should move them out (and you shouldn't).

Just put them all in the SoundBanks folder and organize them in useful subfolders. That's the best way to go.

Ok thanks, I guess I misunderstood before.
I assume it doesn't do the ordering by alphabetically.

It does, but it places folders on top (Windows style).

From the KVR News Section:
"LennarDigital has released version 3.032 of the Sylenth1 synthesizer.

The update includes the following changes:
* Added menu option to set custom soundbank folder".

Ahh, thank you.

@Lennar or who may know: Does that mean I can put my Third Party banks and them not disappear from the menu in a future update?
thanks

If you don't change the location then it'll still be there in future updates. Either way, it is still recommended to save all your soundbank files in Sylenth1's SoundBanks folder, so you'll always know where they are and you can easily access them via the Factory menu.
