MIDI Clock Happiness

I have tried 5 MIDI devices and 4 operating systems with my Octatrack synced to MIDI clock.

Mulab 7.4.6 on Mac OS 10.6.8 with a UM-One set to Class compliant is absolutely amazing.

The Octatrack has quite a sensitive BPM read-out and with this setup the BPM never waivers. Cubase 5 thru 9 is a close second with a Midex device. MOTU MTP with Digital Performer was disappointing but workable.

I have seen that on a Mac at least, regardless of operating system version, each program interacts differently with each device.
