Congrats, v11 is great in every single way. Now we only need a powerful and versatile delay, in the same league like mturboreverb and I'm in plugin heaven.
Thanks and greets,
Marek

Really? The melda delay has been bumped up in delay time, which seemed to be the biggest complaint. I can't help but think that MXXX is the best place for more complex delays as you can utilize the feedback modules in any way possible.
Personally I'd rather Vojtech work on something interesting rather than an updated delay. But I'm not really that into delays and what I have available from melda is more than enough for me.

Hehe I'd like that! I plan that!
As for MTurboDelay, I'd actually like to base it on MXXX, so someone else can do most of the dirty work actually, we'll see about that

Mxxx is a great idea, but that doesn't do the trick inside mturbomix!? I don't know if mturbomix is still a project?
The actual delay is way more clean.

Well yes, you can put a dozen of individual Taps into MXXX, and route it into feddback at the and.jmg8 wrote:The only problem with building MTurboDelay inside MXXX is that we won't have control over each echo independently.

I think MTurboDelay is a great idea. I even have ideas for different types of delays and how to make them. What type of delays is everyone else here interested in?
Personally I'd like
-BBD - I want something that I can dial in easily to get that old memory man guitar sound
- Multitap - I love Allan Holdsworth and to get his sound you need at least 8 taps.
- Pitch shifted - This is cool for a Holdsworth sound too, or really anything ambient.
- Tape delay - cool for vintage music and FX
Of course the Multitap could be done with MdelayMB, the others really need more FX than MDMB has to offer. I'm sure others could come up with interesting ideas to create a really useful tool also.

I'd like to make MTurboDelay using MXXX simply because there are so many options with delays and the point behind MXXX is exactly that. And with the current active preset design features one can do a lot... I'll need to think about it a bit more though.

Here is a delay I have built in MTurboMix.
Of course you can build much more complex delays than Left Right Middle.

I've been fascinated with MTurboReverb mostly due to the ability to manipulate the algorithms. (Not that I can do it with any proficiency at all!!) Would there be any advantage to adding an algorithmic approach to a Delay, Distortion, EQ, Modulator (flange, chorus, etc.)? That is the direction I was seeing for further MTurbo effects, but I don't know how approachable or effective they would be.

Actually the programming thing is for reverbs only, for most effects the algorithm is pretty clear. But you can actually do all sorts of thing the MTUrboReverb - like chorus and flanger

- Analog weirdness like Echoplex, Watkat, Space Echo
- Multitap with pitch/frequency shifting
- Multitap with bitcrusher/downsampler

I don't own MXXX yet. If I purchase it, which other plugins do I need to buy to get a multitap delay where each tap has its own bitcrusher?MeldaProduction wrote:I'd like to make MTurboDelay using MXXX simply because there are so many options with delays and the point behind MXXX is exactly that.
