Hmm...both performancies have their strenghts, e.g. the guitars are better in the live version. Great piece.Woodgardens wrote:No no, I don't think that's rude (Ruth):

BTW - are you aware of the The Bizarre World of Frank Zappa Hologram -tour, to which Zappa is supposed to particape as a hologram. Far out... Below some stuff of the conflict between Dweezil and Ahmet.

I saw Dweezil post once about it on Facebook. He posted it with that clip from Goodfellas where Ray Liotta and the guys are cracking up.
Steve Vai OTOH was fairly enthusiastic.

Its really pitty how the things around the Zappa Family Trust have become that nasty. Its impossible for the outsider (or anybody?) to know what is so called thruth. I´ve got the understanding, that the death Gail launched an avalanche, and she had done a lot of undesirable things.

I've followed it, and I find Ahmet's tactics - and posts - tend to show that he's gotta be lying about the monies. It's really sad if you've seen the Conan appearance by the brothers - Ahmet is very much the younger brother - where he's kind of allowed to tag along and fabricate a public image for show business which otherwise never happens.
Back in the early part of this century I went to a film premiere at the Castro Theater, I forget what the film even was, with Gail MC'ing. I thought she was kind of full of shit then.
I remember one interview with Frank where he addressed perception of Gail. Yeah, it's typical, people don't like the boss's wife, so she must be doing her job right. He characterized her as a hard ass. At the end "I want you out of this business.". He knew.

The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

When is the above document made? Anyway, very insteresting piece, and Ruth Underwood, what a charming lady, she will be 72 (!) in May - who would believe. She is not playing anymore, is that correct?
