Using Waveform 8.1.2.
- Download a MIDI monitor such as http://www.thepiz.org/plugins/?p=midiMonitor
- Start a new project. Place the MIDI monitor into a track, open it and pin it.
- Create a new MIDI clip in the same track and place it 1,1,000.
- Place a single note at the very start of the MIDI clip.
- Put the Play Pointer at 1,1,000.
- Press Play.
- Notice that in the MIDI monitor it shows two Note On commands. If you leave it until it reaches the end of the note, you'll notice only one Note Off.
- Move the MIDI clip to 2,1,000.
- Put the Play Pointer at 1,1,000.
- Press Play: Two Note On commands.
- Put the Play Pointer at 2,1,000.
- Press Play: One Note On command.
- Put the Play Pointer at 1,4,480.
- Press Play: Two Note On commands.
- Put the Player Pointer at 1,4,481.
- Press Play: One Note On command.
