Envelope follower - MIDI CC output

Hi,

I feel really tempted by new promotional uprage offer.
However, before purchasing I'd like to solve a few problems - there are still things I don't see clearly in Tracktion/Waveform (I come from other DAW).

For example, let's say I want to have some audio envelope follower continously tweaking parameters of certain VST basing on audio signal.

I'd like to use this one: http://thepiz.org/plugins/?p=AudioToCC, which works really nice for me.

It produces some CC controller messages sending them to its MIDI output, but...

Is it possible in Waveform to associate some VST parameter (e.g. filter cutoff) with custom CC number? I.e. anytime it gets some CC controller, it "knows" that the filter cutoff must be moved?

Unfortunately, both the "MIDI Learn" button on the lower right panel and the "Create MIDI controller mappings..." option in the "Automation" menu on the lower left panel only allow you to make assignments by actually turning a knob on a MIDI controller.

If you do not have one, then, the only option would be to set things up directly on the plugin itself, but the feasibility of this depends on the plugin, of course. Any of fbm's soft synths, for instance, comes with an ".ini"-file, which is essentially a text-file where you can assign any given CC to any one of the plugin's parameters; it looks something like this:
