Recording MIDI tracks in t5

Has anybody gotten Tracktion t5 working in Linux? I can't get Tracktion to detect MIDI signal from my controller on a MIDI track.

Weirdly, when I'm in MIDI settings and play on the controller, the keys on the screen light up, but no sound comes out. However, when trying to record a MIDI track, the keys don't light up at all. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Ugh, figured it out. Apparently I'd set the track to have a virtual MIDI input and not the keyboard. Apologies for the ridiculous mistake!
