Multi-out VSTi's and CPU

I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I did a search and couldn't find it. If I use Tracktion Faction's method of using multi-out VSTi's, i.e. creating new instances of the rack for each pair of outs that I require, does the CPU load increase or do the new instances just provide the extra outputs?

Its a slight increase if anything at all. It's still far less than if you were to take 4 or 5 instances of the multi-out plug putting each one on a separate track. Hope that helps.

Yes, thankyou. I didn't know whether it added a fresh instance of the VSTi each time which would obviously be a much bigger drain.
