Submix Solo Behavior

Currently, in Waveform, if I have a submix folder containing say 8 tracks, and I hit solo on one of the tracks, the entire submix is effectively muted, meaning I can't hear anything.

If I solo the submix, then all of the tracks in the submix are effectively soloed, meaning I hear all of them.

I tried the "solo isolate" feature on the submix track to see what would happen, but that then applies to all of the tracks inside the submix, which effectively means that soloing one of the tracks solos all of them, giving me the equivalent of simply soloing the submix to begin with!

If I want to hear only one of the tracks within the submix, I need to mute the other 7 and solo the submix.

This seems excessive...

Is there a "good" way around this without losing the submix and folder functionality?

I would suggest that an improved behavior for a future version would be that if a track inside a submix is soloed without the submix being soloed, that the submix behave as if soloed with the non-soloed individual tracks acting as if muted, so that only that one track can be heard. Right now soloing a track inside a submix folder is equivalent to muting the submix.

Yeah. it's strange behavior for me too. Soloing through submix folder would be better.

Yes, that annoys me too.
