Tracktion/Waveform compressors have an extra input to use for sidechaining inside a rack which seems straight forward.I have Waves C1 compressor with sidechain but when placed in a rack there is no extra input to connect to.need to duck Bass track with Kick track. If anyone has this plugin could you tell me how to connect it,

Pretty sure you cannot do it. I also have the Waves stuff, and when using the plugins with Waveform/Tracktion, The Waves control frame doesn't show. Thats where the sidechain controls are, and it isn't loaded. I can't remember why, but I struck out when I tried to do this.

IN Waveform 8.2.0, if you right click the Waves plugin icon in the track mixer area you'll see a new option at the bottom named "Configure Plugin Channels". You can use this to change the input/output bus layouts which means you should be able to tell the Waves plugins to open more channels on the input bus.

Once you've done this, they should be available for sidechaining either from inside a rack or simply in the plugin window title bar if the plugin isn't in a Rack.

Thanks for that, will give it a go.I don't know if the Waves C1 will be any better than the free compressors with Waveform. I keep buying things and can't really hear any difference.Listening to the various plugins demoed through cans on youtube [and here it is in use and here it is bypassed]. I'm :( :( if I can hear any difference, but I suppose that is what happens when you lose your top end hearing, :phones: :)
