Cubase 9 pro or bitwig 2.1.3, when adjusting the GUI in Hive (or when I had Zebra) it kinda stutters and isn't smooth. Seems to be worse when the edge is outside of the main screen. It's not a huge deal or anything, but wanted to know if it's normal for everyone or it's something I'm doing wrong?

I don't have the problem myself, but slow/laggy GUIs have been reported by other users.
There is a Diva beta with improved GUI performance, so u-he seems to have a fix for it, but afaik there aren't any public builds of Hive or Zebra with the improvement, yet.

Yep... subsequent updates with revised VST3 support and new preset browser (+ NKS if possible) will fix the UI lag issue. It stems from a flaw/bug (not sure which) in a host for which we had to create a workaround. That workaround makes the UI draw in full under certain conditions, which in turn makes it laggy. This prevents what was known as White Lines Bug in our stuff for years.
We have since deployed a new workaround that only draws the UI in full when the window itself is dragged. So the white lines reappear, but only during the dragging operation. The UI flips to fine after that. No lag anymore then.
