Hi !
I trying to find the way to store presets (or snapshots) within a mux modular patch. And then recall them via midi when needed..
But I don't find any info about that on the docs.. :?

Don't even know if it is possible...

Thanks for any help !

What data should such snapshot include, and what not? In what way would it be different from a MUX patch?

I'd like to change some modules values and multipoint envelope shape too during play. The patch remains the same.

If I save usual preset, in the main bar, is it possible to recall them with midi program change ?

For the moment, I'm using 2 multipoint envelopes and let one or the other modulating with modulation mappers and one constant knob in their amplitude input. By tweaking a bit modulation connection amplitude & %, it works fine.
But recalling as many envelope preset as I want in my patch would be nice and convenient ! :)

MuX and MuLab do not understand the MIDI program change event at all, as far as I can see - you can't convert it to anything or use it to control anything. So forget using that.

Remember that a MUX preset is anything at all that you can load into MUX from the hierarchical preset menu. They don't have numbers associated with them, so MIDI events aren't really much good for choosing them anyway. So you're going to have to think of something different.

Basically, you can't dynamically select from the hierarchical menu of presets. At all.

You need to create your own preset with a selected set of existing presets and have some way to switch incoming events to your desired preset.

This is not easy. The "Note Despatcher" module is about all there is. You set the number of outputs, pick a note to switch output, then wire it up. That means you need a "safe" note for switching. And you don't mind where non-note events end up.

It's hard work and rather basic, really.

I see. I must load as many preset I need in the despatcher, then call them with a midi note, right ?

But isn't it a bit hard for my CPU all those loaded patches ? There are several vst's in them !

I've found a way, for the moment : with modulation mapper, just one constant knob and by setting correctly all the modulation connections from the constant knob to mod mappers, I can even morph thru the 2 "preset" !
But it's easy to lost his way ! :scared:

I'm taking a lot of pleasure to tweak all those modules ! Fantastico !

Take a look in Mulib/ MUX Instruments/ Bibz1st/ Switcher Synth

Thanks !
1) You make me discover Mulib (after 3mn of research !)
2) I see the concept. Now, I must understand all that... :hyper: I'll tomorrow... Must sleep a bit !

Merci !
