Two different takes on the same bounced in place bass sound.

Hi all,
I am finishing my first song and using a great guitar bass in Sylenth. I have a beasted out mac with tons of ram and use logic. My logic is in no way even close to peaking out.
Everytime i bounce this song, real time or offline this bass sound fluctuates a little, it is driving me crazy. I am to the point where I am going to bounce the bass in place like 3-4 times, then listen through each take to find the one that sounds the way I wanted it to be.
So question here.... WTF is happening and why? Is this a sylenth specific thing, is this my logic. Is this all synths in general? I am so confused and would like to get a handle on this subject before I move on to creating and finishing more tracks that way I don't completely lose my mind again like i'm crazy that it sound different every time i bounce down the track.
Thank you soooo much to alll

No it's not Logic. Sylenth doesn't do that, except the sound is designed this way. OSC detune, modulations, etc etc etc. or maybe one of the effects?

Wow refreshing to get such fast responses thank you
Sync is on
Part A Both OSC - retrig, not sure what retrig is, no detune
Part B Both OSC - no retrig on, some detune.
To be honest, I have a second release lined up and different gritty bass and same scenario. Doesn't ever seem same. To start, a workaround unless you guys have more answers. I am just going to bounce in place multiple times and choose the one that articulates the sound the way I envisioned. Then use those audio bounces for the Radio & Extended so they are exactly the same.

Synced, I mean its really hard to explain, it just moves around different, some takes is sounds straight forward and solid all the way though, then another take it will have a note or two that lose the low end and almost sounds empty in those spots.AnX wrote:In what way does the sound fluctuate?
Pitch? Volume? Filter? PWM?
Are the OSC synced or free running?

By sync, i mean the phase is retriggered on note on. (Not one osc synced to the other)Ello wrote:Synced, I mean its really hard to explain, it just moves around different, some takes is sounds straight forward and solid all the way though, then another take it will have a note or two that lose the low end and almost sounds empty in those spots.AnX wrote:In what way does the sound fluctuate?

Do you have an LFO modulation something? (Cut Off etc)

Thank LennarLennard wrote:First take off all external effects so you only hear Sylenth1. If the problem is still there, upload a mp3 that shows what you think is wrong.
Will get back on it monday and see if i can get it resolved. It is now happening on another tracks bass as well.
My workaround was just bouncing it over and over and reviewing it like a live bass and taking the best passes. bounced in place, if you think we can get it right i'd rather do that. As the guy below says maybe i'll try the retrig on on all oscillators.
What does the retrig do?
