When mixing in Reaper or Cubase, I like to load a reference track into the project, then I activate the mute for that track, and if I hit the solo button the track quickly alternates between muted and soloed, allowing me to compare the sound of my mix to that of the reference track, with no pauses or silence between the mute/solo change.
Is it possible to replicate that behaviour in Waveform? Maybe I'm missing something but it seems it can't be done, you have to turn off mute to allow solo.

I leave the reference track in a separate edit, as I'm usually using the same few references no matter what I'm mixing, and I create a second track with an edit clip and set the source to my mix to comp with the reference to hear them back to back through certain sections.
