hi all, i really like melda, but it seems sad that that there's no way to properly sync the wave display of the multi analyzer to some bpm and there's not even a static mode option for it :(
there's also no way to trigger the page refreshing (as workaround) or to automate the pause button.

atm i end up using the timegraph metering of the loudnessAnalyzer that has a kind of a static mode, but even this is jiggly jiggly and with 2 decimals of resolution approximation, it still can't have a specific window and moves around too much for flawless work and also the resolution has to be readjusted every time the timegraph screen is resized. (either by showing/hiding the meters or resizing the plug.

anyways, if nothing else, PLEASE MELDA add a static mode to the multianalyzer's wave display! (which in theory should be real easy to implement) :)

be well all,

if there's a workaround to any of this using melda plugs please let me know, i know there's other's products that do it but that's not why i'm writing this.

Completely agree, I want this also.
Development time seems to be scarce at the moment as Vojtech is working on some more important things. There will be a huge restructure to the kernel soon and updates will stop until it is complete.
I guess it doesn't seem like a big deal to add this on but then if there are like 10 others who just want one thing then it adds up and the revolution will never happen.
Maybe Vojtech will make a note of feature request and address them when the time is right?

He does :)

Funnily enough, I was vaguely thinking of being able to "write" any meter or time-graph values out as a plug-in parameter (similar to Automation Write in the Modulators); then you could use that automation envelope as you wish. :o

But, let's let Vojtech concentrate on his planned developments first. ;)

sure, and there's always the free 32bit sMexoscope workaround, it just seems so unMelda! :D

I'm afraid static mode cannot work for the MMultiAnalyzer folks, sorry. I'd like that myself :D. The problem is synchronization between the instances. It's easy for a single track plugin, but this multi-instance thing is much more difficult, because you never know when (if at all) will each instance receive the data, which will be first, which last, some may even receive more blocks than the others etc... And without going into details there is a scenario, not complex one, when everything would stop working and there's nothing you can do about it... So simple huh? :D Well, unfortunately not...

thank you for letting us know :)

Hmmm... what if one instances would be set to "master-mode", all others are slaves. sync will only sync to the master, everything else will be relative to that?

Post

i think the main thing would be syncing the image refresh/window to daw subdivisions

As I said, impossible I'm afraid, even if you provide an option to the user, it would be "if you set this right, it will work, if not, your DAW will freeze"...
