Why can't I export a midi file?

So I have a few sequences done in Tracktion and for some reason export/create a midi file isn't working.

I get to the rendering dialogue, type in a file name and location, hit render, and a split second later it's done, but no file is created. Iv'e tried ticking-unticking the various options on the rendering page but so far nothing works.

I have 20 or so midi tracks which all output to a track containing a sfz. I tried highlighting all the tracks and then rendering, but that didn't help.

I'm using Tracktion on a PC, but I want to export my edit as a mid file to continue working in DP. I know importing works, any ideas why exporting doesn't?

never mind, the problem may have been an Ambience reverb on the master section.
