Any plans for a drum replacer plugin?

Wondering if you have any plans to make a drum replacer plugin along the lines of Slate's Trigger 2?

Thank you!

I thought you could only enhance, not replace, with drum enhancer(?)
And drum leveler is for doing something completely different
Changing the amplitude of the sound already there...

It´s not the ideal tool for replacement, but since you can load your samples to it, and you can mix them 100% if you don´t want to "enhance" with lower percentages, you would effectively be "replacing". But let´s see what others have to say here.pheeleep wrote:I thought you could only enhance, not replace, with drum enhancer(?).

Thanks I swear I didn’t see it. My mind is playing tricks on me. I use it in a bunch of other Melda plugins all the time. When I checked for it, my eyes and brain would not let me see it... freaky... I am not on drugs!

So I tried it and it doesn’t work. Selecting an external sample and setting wet to 100% plays a synthesized version of the selected sample with the attack missing. Vojtech any thoughts on making a drum replacer plugin or modifying drum enhancer to be able to play the external sample 100% wet and still have it sound the same way it does when triggered outside of drum enhancer?

...well, fwiw...when presented with live/acoustic drums that suck (most of the time), I will do the following on each track...
1) MDynamics gate...set to ignore "bleed stuff" but preserve the transients
2) MDynamics compressors(1/2)...set to tame the worst of the peaks and dynamic "range"
3) MDrumLeveler...helps to ignore more of the "bleed stuff" and establish a really workable dynamic range(high/low)
4) MDrumEnhancer...having kept the transients (#1) I can then substitute a sample that works along with tuning/eq/etc
5) MBassidor...if needed, frequently with kit/mic choices that are usually made in basement/practice spaces
...basically I "remove" the room and terrible kit tones/tuning, but preserve the performance(transients). I've had clients that actually really didn't notice, except that he now "sounds great!...best that kit has ever sounded/etc
...(sigh).../s~

Nice tip Steve, thanks!
I also think it would be a nice option if in MDrumEnhancer there was an option to play the selected sample directly, or without the "resynthesized" sound. The triggering response of the plugin is very good.

++1 for the option to play a sample directly. This would be a wonderful addition.
Cheers!

...I essentially accomplish that with the "dry/wet" slider...and on occasion the entire kit can be "100% wet"...hth.../s~
