Is there any benefit to moving the Waveform Temporary Directory from
C:\Users\Steve\AppData\Roaming\Tracktion\Waveform\Temporary
to one of my dedicated audio drives?
The system drive is a Samsung 512GB 960PRO NVME M.2 SSD and the audio drives are Samsung 850 EVO SATA III SSDs. The C drive has 295GB free. W10-64bit.
Thanks for any advice.

The only benefit will really come if the external drive has faster read/write speeds than your main drive. (This may also be helped if you only use this external drive for the temp location as it might not have to seek around as much).
Your best bet is to do a disk speed check. I'm not sure of a good Windows tool but I've used "Blackmagic Disk Speed Test" on the Mac. Perhaps some Windows power users can chime in?

The 960 Pro is plenty fast enough that it won't make a difference, unless you're working with video as well. Even a regular SATA SSD as a system drive is fine for the temporary directory I think.
For those with a system drive that is a spinning HDD, and a second drive that is also HDD, setting the temporary to the second would be a good idea, though I doubt it would make a noticeable difference.
