Apologies for the language, but this is what is happening. Within my project 'Traction01' I save every hour or so as 'edit_001', 'edit_002' etc. Except now what seems to be happening is that Tracktion is losing some of my saved edits. As normal, I use 'save as' to save under the new edit name e.g. 'edit_114'. I then exit Tracktion. When I come back, my 'edit_114' is not present in the list of edits in the project screen for 'Tracktion01'.

If I leave Tracktion and open my 'Tracktion1' project folder in Windows, 'edit_114' IS present as a file within it, it looks the right size etc. It's just not showing up in the Tracktion project menu.

There seems to be no pattern to this whatsoever, Tracktion just randomly loses some of my saved edits. Some of my saved edits are fine, others are just disappearing of the face of Tracktion's earth. I don't think it's a question of the file being only partially saved, as sometimes I will fiddle around with the track after saving and before quitting. What the f**k is going on! This is happening time and time again. I am losing so much f**king work!

erm.. you mean the edit you just did a Save As to isn't present among the edits listed in Active Projects in the "projects" tab? erm.. I might be missing the obvious but did you try that "open project.." button at the bottom left?

exactly what is happening to me as I reported a couple of weeks ago. Perhaps we are doing something wrong when we save stuff. Anybody?

Post

what i mean is:

1. i open tracktion
2. i click on my track name in 'active projects'
3. i get a list of my saved edits
4. but sometimes the last edit i saved is missing
5. so i go into windows to see if any file was saved
6. and the file is there, with my other saved edits
7. it just doesn't show up in the tracktion edit list

jesus what is going on!

this has been happening for a few weeks, the weird thing is that some saved edits are fine, and others just don't show up at all. i don't have a screengrab, so visualise an edit list that goes something like this:

edit_116
edit_115
edit_113
edit_112
edit_111
edit_109
etc.....

ie where the f are edit_114 and edit_110 etc?
