Hi folks,
I'm wondering: in the FX matrix of MPowerSynth and MXXX you can instantiate a nested MPS that will only react to a particular, user defined MIDI channel.
But when you use a normal instance of MPS, it seems like it's not possible to define a single channel in this way, it just reacts to MIDI note on messages on any incoming MIDI channel.
Anyone know of a trick to achieve this?
Of course i can set up a MIDI filter in Cubase before the MIDI arrives at MPS, but i actually want to send in MIDI triggers to MPS (for side-chaining) on other other channels, so i'm basically trying to force MPS to only react to note on events on one channel.
Thanks!
Force MPowerSynth to react to note on events on only one MIDI channel?

Hi there, you have to do it in the FX section. As far as I know synths are usually not equipped with MIDI filtering, they just assume if you send something to them, you have a reason for that
. The MIDI filtering in the FX section is only for more complex stuff when you layer things somehow depending on the channel / note.
