I'm installing W9 on a new computer.
How do I get my presets from the old computer to the new? Should I copy the file Tracktion.settings? Or CurrentUserSettings.trksettings? Can I do this eventhough the old computer ran the W9 beta?
I'm talking about the presets I have done for the bass and chord generator plus the presets for the Tracktion sampler.

I copied over CurrentUserSettings and that carried over the bass and chord presets.
But what about the sampler presets, the tags I had created and the midi clip presets I had stored as drum patterns?
It seems the new version has a different file structure for the presets. There is now a folder called presets, which is not present on my old machine.

If your old computer used W9, then there should be a presets folder as well. Right click on any preset in browser and "Open the folder containing this file..." then you can select all the presets and copy them over. Tags are stored in those files as well.

It has the W9 beta and this folder doesn't seem to exist. At least not on the backup. I'll have to fire up the old machine to check.

I updated the old computer to W9 non-beta and then copied the preset files over to the new computer, as you said. Thanks for the help!
