Is there a way to do something similar like the phase distortion effect from kiloHearts with Melda plugins? I like the phase distortion sound and I think Waves uses something similar also with its Abbey Road Vinyl emulation.

I only have this quote about how it works:

"Rather than using waveform clipping and amplitude shaping, it modulates the phase of the input signal with its own amplitude, creating an effect that’s not dissimilar to feedback frequency modulation."

@vectorwarrior: I think wavefolding sound similar to phase distortion in some cases but is based on another principle.

@jmg8: Your preset fulfills the principle of modulating the phase of the signal and is a good find. I never used the "LFO Override" parameter. But the resulting effect is very subtle. I would not call it "distortion". There must be something else happening within a "phase distortion" algorithm.

OK, try again. Modified slightly with a few presets to try (at the top of the GUI, called "Crunch" "Destroy" "Warm" and "Sizzle"). I am getting distortion type sounds from it now.

The feedback parameter needs to be quite high for the "distortion" to kick in. And "mode" thickens up and gives some sonic variation. I understand now.

Thanks for your effort. I find it a really useful effect.
