When I open up a T7 or W8 edit in W9, the automation data is missing, with everything a straight line without edit points.
Waveform 9 not importing automation data from earlier versions of T & W edits

On a few more automation related notes...
- W9 (not sure about W8) no longer shows volume changes in the volume / pan plug's GUI when you move the cursor along the transport as you pass over volume automation points. Is this intentional, or a broken feature?
- Curious if there's anyone else who wants to see the return of the automation scaling db display. Talked with Jules about this many years ago, yet nothing was resolved. It's very handy when you want to make a precise adjustment of the curves, being able to see the numeric db level as you move the scale, as opposed to guessing.
Thanks!

Fixed, I'll try and get a beta up asap, might take a while being the weekend and all.
If anybody is feeling brave with a text editor they can change every line in their edit that looks like this <AUTOMATIONCURVE name="volume"> to <AUTOMATIONCURVE paramID="volume">. If you decide to do this, please make a backup first!

- This should still work, can you send me an archive of an edit where it doesn't work. roland@tracktion.com
- What version was this in? I just tried T5 and I don't see it.

Grateful for your swift and successful action Roland!
- Swapping in the "paramID" for "name" did the trick. Looking forward to the new beta.
- Will send a troubled edit as requested.
- I think the last version of the scaling display was in T3. Jules had a reason for dropping it, yet I don't recall what that was now.

Cheers to the beta 9.0.37 automation fix!
AND thank you for the revival of the automation scaling db display!!!
The more I play with W9, the more I love it. I'm joining the chorus of people who think it's the most stable and mature version yet.
Will likely move from T7 to W9 and skip W8 for a large project I've been working on for years now.
