I’ve been using Mdrummer quite a bit recently and I’ve been layering drums. Everything is perfect except for the lack of filters for each layer. Would it be possible to add a lowpass and highpass filter to each drum layer, so we can layer drums more easily. I think it could either go in the layer menu under panorama or add it as a tab near the sample envelope display. This would make hiphop and edm drum production much easier. Thanks.

Simple - just duplicate the drum ;). If there are multiple say Snare drum 1, then they will play in unison, plus all settings, dedicated FX pipeline... ;)

I've been doing that as a work around. I understand if its too much trouble and it does work. The reason I'd like it included in the layers is because 1). It looks cleaner than having 4 bass drums 2). You can easily play all the drums together and adjust things. Ex. if I have 3 bass drums and I want to hear what they sound like together I need to either play a pattern or go into drum pad mode. Also if I want to reduce the overall volume I have to move all 3 drum volumes instead of one slider.

These are just small things, but I think it could improve the workflow for people doing EDM or hiphop. Of course this isn't as important as the restructuralization, MYYY, etc, so if its too much trouble don't worry.

Also does anyone else have an opinion about this or is it just me?

I asked for it a few years ago.
I was hoping to add it in a different way though.
Think of MConvolution. Over the impulse display there are HP and LP controls that you can draw like envelopes.
That would be perfect for drums. If it were the same and layered over the drum sample waveform. We could draw an envelope with the LP to tighten up the hit etc. Obviously these can be used as just standard HP and LP by just moving the line up and down.

Hehe you both want different things :). Anyways both are possible, it's just a matter of development time, which is just... well, you know.... :D

Envelopes - this is actually rather trickier than it looks, plus it would need quite some CPU (if not preprocessed, which would cause yet another set of problems).

LP/HP for layers would quite be possible, but you know, it would make things more complex again. Plus then people could start asking for saturation, reverb... :D So for now I'd rather leave it as it is. The workaround is hopefully simple enough.
