Zebra 2 filter delay issue.

When I put a filter in the effects section on the lower pane and apply an envelope to the cutoff to make a pluck sound for example there seems to be a noticeable delay, the sound is repeated a few milliseconds after the initial midi note is played. This problem only exists if i apply a filter outside of the main grid. It also occurs if I try to add a filter as an external effect for layered sounds using fab filters Volcano to make layers all use the same filter with an envelope applied to the cutoff to make a pluck sound. It seems there is actually a delay in the audio coming out of Zebra 2. Am I missing something here? No other vst has this issue.
Might be worth mentioning I'm using Zebra 2.8 (beta).
Thanks in advance

First example actually sounds better.
Effects are monophonic, so if you load a filter there and modulate with an envelope, it will behave somewhat differently than if it were applied per voice. Perfectly normal. This is not a delay, it's a matter of how envelope is retriggered or isn't, because all voices are summed when modulating in the FX grid via an envleope.
If you want a correctly modulated filter, you should use it in the upper grid where generators are. Not in the bottom FX grid.

Okay, but why can't I put a filter outside of the plugin without it doing the same thing but It works fine with any other synth I have?
I'm layering multiple synths from different plugins and I use a filter with an envelope to make the pluck so they're all using the same filter. Only Zebra has the echoing effect where it is repeating like there is a 1/16 delay on it.
There any way around this?

Are you sure you have disabled ALL effects in Zebra's FX grid, before it hits the external filter you're using?
Also posting the patch and some screenshots might be helpful, too.

I'm only using an eq in the effects grid. It's a very simple patch with only 3 osc and a filtre. I disable the filter when using fab filtres volcano because I'm using it for a layer.

Zebra 2 outputs audio... it has no influence over what happens to that audio farther along the DAW signal chain
Maybe you have some host automation or an accidental send track or something...
