I'm working with Zebra in Numerology. If I want to ParamMod Osc 2's Detune in a 3 oscillator patch I have to scroll through and count which "Detune" is the correct one. It would be nice if Modules perhaps reported : OSC 2: Detune. Thoughts?

Hiya,

yeah, I thought of this, too...

Well, here's how it should be: AUs have a convenient mechanism of reporting groups of parameters (so called "Clumps"), so that the host for instance could assemble them into submenus for automation channels. But unfortunately no host manufacturer seems to have heard about that so far

I'm gonna look into this.

Thanks,

;) Urs

I wondered if the AU standard offered something just as you spoke of. I'll mention something to Jim as well. He's fairly respondent to suggestions such as this. Ideally his ParamMod module would have a Clump menu then a parameter menu derived from said clump.

Good to know Urs, I can start bugging AU hosts about this feature.

Does Zebra currently report said clumps?

Hehe, nope, I havn't yet built in reporting Clumps. Allthough, it's fairly easy, as I use a similar mechanism internally (see hierarchical menus for ModMatrix and XY Assign).

Anyway, I think I'll just add it to parameter names as well, until more hosts offer Clump support...

Cheers,

;) Urs
