Problem with time signature change

Ok, I am using the latest version of Waveform, on windows 10.
I am trying to enter a simple time signature change command. It doesn't work right. I can click the time signature right near the playback controls, and the parameter info boxes appear below. I can enter the time change and place the cursor where I want it to happen... Then click "Insert at cursor" and the time change appears at the start of the track, I cannot get it to appear where I want it to. No matter what I do... is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?

Try placing the cursor first, then making the time change, then clicking "insert at cursor."

Or: place the cursor, click the time signature near the playback controls, click Insert At Cursor, then change the TS.
[W10-64, T5/6/7/W8/9/10/11/12/13, 32(to W8)&64 all, Spike],[W7-32, T5/6/7/W8, Gina16] everything underused.

"Try placing the cursor first, then making the time change, then clicking "insert at cursor."
Thanks, I did that many times as I tried to figure things out. My description was off in the order that I put things... but i did that and it didn't help.

And I did that, too. The time change then appears at the start of the track (in the Tempo track of course), and not where the cursor is. And if I try to drag it where I want it, it won't move. At this point, the time signature shows up in the Tempo track as red, and if I hit "enter" it will turn white and a marker then appears in the marker track. WTF?

Did you try mine? It worked for me. Don't make the time change until you've clicked the Insert at cursor button. I got four time changes in a bar using it.

Yes, jabe is right. I was away from my music computer and misremembered.jabe wrote:Or: place the cursor, click the time signature near the playback controls, click Insert At Cursor, then change the TS.
When you click "insert," Tracktion inserts *a* key signature, not necessarily the one you want, but just change it in the dialogue box and IIRC hit "return."

So thank you Jabe, that did work for me! I just could not figure it out, and was doing things in the wrong order! Every thing is fine now.
All that for two extra measures of 2/4!

Sorry to bump this thread, but I can't figure out how to insert a time signature. I get no options when right-clicking on the time signature next to the playback controls other than for the one shown. Why not just a right-click option on the timeline?

Never mind. I was looking for the command in the pop-up menu, not to the left in the properties.
