MIDI Clock selection

Has anyone set their MIDI clock to external only to have it change to the default internal after switching to another preset?
Does it happen in live mode?
I can’t get mine to stay. Same with my sample rate and buffer size. It doesn’t always switch. It’s just inconsistent. Is there some order to saving a preset including these settings? Should I be saving a Tag with these settings somehow?
