How to disable panel aniimations in T7?

Ok so I was trying T6 the other day. Pretty good and lightweight but the text on some buttons is too tiny and there's no way to make it bigger.

So I got the T7 demo (because as far as I know there's no waveform demo, only a trial) to see if text is more readable and it actually is, which is soooo nice! Almost everything has a good ammount of contrast. Really good work by the devs there.

But I also nonticed something I'd rather do without. The panels animate when hiding/showing them. Since I'm on an obsolete and slow laptop, these animations are very slow and choppy.
It would be much better if the panels appeared and disappeared instantly. Since I don't see any setting to turn animations off, isn't there a file I can edit or something like that to disable the animations? I'm on windows 7 32-bit

W9 has a feature limited demo (periodic hissing noise and export/render disabled) as well as a fully featured 30 day trial.

Both have a setting (T7 in General Behaviour, W9 in Appearance) called "Automatically hide and show panels". With this disabled, the panels will not animate.

Interesting. How do I get the demo instead of the fully featured trial? 'Cause when trying to download I seem to be pointed to the trial.
And can I get the Waveform 8 demo/trial? (for this one I wouldn't mind if only a trial is available)

They'll still animate, but they won't auto-show/hide so will only do it when you need them to change display.

If you don't have an OEM licence for T7 then I suggest skipping T7 & W8 and going straight to W9.
W9 contains all the goodness of previous versions and more.

When you download W9, it is the same install regardless of how you're using the app. It works like this:
• Once installed and run for the first time, you will be asked for your account name and password
• If you have a licence in your account the app will be unlocked
• If you don't have a licence and you're registering for the first time, you'll get a 30 day restriction-free trial period
• If your trial period has expired you'll be running in the restricted, hissing demo mode.
