Hey, so MYYY, hopefully close to ultimate instrument

, but well, MYYY may not exactly be the best name ever

. Any better ideas? (needs to start with M, you know, company trademark

)

Or maybe MXXXSynth?

Something descriptive. MYYY is way too vague. It worked with MXXX because it's unique. New customers seeing MYYY, MXXX will wonder about the vagueness. MModular is much better IMHO.

MYYY doesn't tell people what it is at all. It will be an immediate barrier for people that aren't already knowledgable with Melda.

In order to come up with suggestions, I think we need more information about what it is and what it can do. Personally, I would wait until you've got an alpha, let the people testing it pitch some names.

I wouldn't mind something a bit more creative, like
MFurioso or MSyren/MSiren or so.

It will be an instrument working similarly to MXXX, but instead of effect modules there will be per-voice oscillators/filters/samplers/... That's the basic idea

(plus there will be the traditional MXXX FX engine)

Then yeah, MModular makes total sense. Simple, consistent, descriptive.

Alternatively MModularSynth for more clarity.
