I don't understand at all the people who do not like the Melda UI. It's very well done, organized, everything's at the right place, it's customizable, it's clear, there's space to breathe and that's very important when the number of options becomes substantial.

Who doesn’t like it? I only saw the first of the six videos, and there the guy is crazy about MXXX. Says lots of very nice things about it.mevla wrote:I don't understand at all the people who do not like the Melda UI. Well, there's another guy commenting, in the first video, "Why its looks like a free plugin?) Melda's interfaces are always turns me off". But that's beyond the point. Like the English grammar that's used. I've read here and there such comments about Melda UI which I do not understand. Mind you, I do not need to understand it.pumafred wrote:Who doesn’t like it? Aaaah, you spent time reading comments to the YouTube video. Big waste of time, if you ask me.mevla wrote:Well, there's another guy commenting, in the first video, "Why its looks like a free plugin?) Hehe thanks folks!
You know the "Melda GUI" seems like the biggest debate of the century
. But from the many discussions I looked/attended I found that it is not about looking as a refrigerator, but being simple. The plugins literally offend some people with big egos, who don't understand them by looking at them for 10 seconds, so the "fault must be in the plugin, right?". The plugins are complex, so they are not for everyone. I got peace with that
. Virtually all other developers make the simple plugins, so if Melda is not someone's way, no problem, there are plenty of choices.
Just an add - I also found that people less and less listen and more and more look, when making music, which is crazy
. A true story: a collegue of mine was teaching mixing a guy, and at some point he gave him something to mix. The guy came back with an "awesome" mix, where the 32" screen was covered by plugins looking like hardware and bragged how great it sounds with all the analog stuff. And the friend of mine sad "what the f*** are you talking about? they are all bypassed!"
.

For some plug-ins, that's a good thing.MeldaProduction wrote:"what the f*** are you talking about? they are all bypassed!".

Agree. They can be misleading in that sense. I watched some ADSR YouTube videos on Melda products yesterday and realised that, unless the reviewer has thoroughly investigated the plugin, short videos can vastly underestimate the power of the plugins. The comments on these videos were well-intended but generally of the type "it is just as" such-and-such plugin, "nothing original" here. And, based on the videos, they could be right, because in 2-3 minutes the reviewer was rushing through the first visible buttons, without showing any of the truly original and powerful features. Not easy products to sell to the masses, no doubt about that. I hope not to disappoint you, Vojtech, if I say they will not make you a millionaire...MeldaProduction wrote:You know the "Melda GUI" seems like the biggest debate of the century. I think it was Russ Hughes, from Production Expert, who told the story that he got a track to mix. He removed all the plugins the client had used, rendered the track and sent it back to the client. Reportedly, the client was happy with how much better it sounded already.DarkStar wrote:For some plug-ins, that's a good thing.MeldaProduction wrote:"what the f*** are you talking about? they are all bypassed!".
