problem with fx on selected track

when i cut a piece of audio and hit the fx icon and pick ,let;s say effectrix plugin i cant open the fx's gui to edit. this happens on all of the effects i try to use. any ideas?

Click the "FX" button and make sure the "Show clip effects" option is enabled.
With that, mouse over the lane you added the plugin to and you should see a cog icon floating to the right. Click that to show the plugin UI.
