MDrummer: finding the right MIDI key for a simple break

Hello,

When I hit c-1 on the MIDI keyboard MDrummer starts to play with a simple beat. If I then hit the Break button on the UI:

Then MDrummer will play one break and will go back to the simple beat.

According to the way the notes are assigned:

Playing F0 on the MIDI keyboard will play the break but MDrummer will continue with an augmented form of the simple beat, not the same simple beat as above.

Is there a way from the MIDI keyboard to do the same as pressing the UI break button eg. play one break then go back to the simple beat and not an augmented form of it ?

EDIT: Further testing shows that the above only happens when the playing is started from the keyboard as described. When the playing is start by a C-1 note in Bitwig then pressing F0 will play the break and go back to the simple beat as expected.

I believe it goes back to the same key's beat that you pressed. So if you press a "F" for the break and will automatically return to a "F" beat. This makes sense because the beats and breaks are sorted by intensity. I don't always like this however, so I just turn that feature off(I believe its called sequencer mode) and manually control all beats. IMO its easier and less confusing that way.

Thanks. Where could be the toggle for this feature ?

Now I have clearly a beat with a snare going on. But the UI shows:

I removed all snare hits but the snare is still sounding. It looks like the loop selector is not linked to the beat pattern shown below, is it ? How can I get the beat with the snare removed, as shown, to play ?

MDrummer is certainly a great rhythm tool and I'm persuaded it offers a lot, although I'm afraid there are a few things unclear. And I do read sections of the manual and watched some videos. Although I got MDrummer a few weeks back it's only now that have the time to explore it.

Sequencer Mode is in Rhythm Editor> Settings> Additional> Advanced.
Re still hearing snare after removing it...???
Yes, the pattern in the Loop Editor should relate directly to the Loop Selector key. But if you have more than one loop in the loop index box (to the right of the keyboard) the pattern would be different depending on the actual loop chosen (dependent on velocity of MIDI command OR random if 'Random Loops' checked in Additional).
When you say 'the snare is still sounding', what exactly are you doing....Mousing the play button? Playing your keyboard? Using MIDI commands?
