Tracktion 6 - fails to load plugins correctly error

I have a Windows 7 laptop with Tracktion 6 that when I attempt to load a number of Waves VST plugins, I receive an error which says the .dll files fail to load correctly. I have a 2nd home desktop, same Windows 7, and all the waves plugins load properly. Any thoughts on how to get the VST plugins to load properly on the laptop?

The 32-bit versions can only use 32-bit plug-ins; the 64-bit versions can only use 64-bit plug-ins. Waveform 9 and future ones will only be available in 64-bit. There are bridging plug-ins (eg JBridge) that will allow 32-bit plug-ins to be used in the 64-bit versions. There are others - a search of the forum will bring up others. Some of us with 64-bit PCs will have both versions of some releases installed.

I understand the whole 32 v 64 difference and that's not the issue. I tried both 32 and 64 bit versions and same plugins fail to load on the laptop with either version. My desktop that loaded all the plugins correctly was the 32 bit version.

I seem to recall some issues with Waves plug-ins. No idea what happened ultimately.
