Here is another video going over something a bit basic. Someone asked about this, so I thought I'd show how you can use MDrummer to control other drum machines. Of course there are lots of different kits available in MDrummer, but many people have specific drum sounds they like, so in this vid I'll show you how to use both together. I also show how you can use drums from another program with percussion from MDrummer. I hope you find this helpful.

When combining external and internal drums like this, remember that the merged internal drums are also outputting MIDI so probably best to mute their MIDI outputs...unless you like surprises.

That’s true, it’s important to listen and make sure nothing strange is being triggered.

Can you elaborate on that please? :)
If, like in the video, you add a tambourine from MDrummer, how do you turn off the rest of the merged drums?
Thanks,

It's the other way around, you mute the MIDI output of the tambourine track because you don't want its MIDI triggering something in Addictive Drums. Keep in mind that the source of the MIDI is the drum pattern in the drum track in MD's Loop Editor (not the drum itself).
To drive Addictive you don't load any actual drums, you just load a Rhythm, which is essentially MIDI.
Then to add a tambourine from MDrummer you merge a tambourine Rhythm (MIDI), and load a tambourine (sound)...the tambourine MIDI drives the MDrummer tambourine but you need to stop its MIDI being output to Addictive. You do that in the MIDI output window by dialing up the tambourine drumtype then hitting the mute button to the right of it.
