Depending on your platform (Win/OSX/Linux) the installer hopefully pops up window (or description) with information about these plugins. Waverazor allows you to use the Audio Input from your DAW in the Editor as part of the signal chain when building patches. Some DAWs don't allow normal Synthesizer plugins to be created in EFX slots (BTW, Waveform already supports this), so we provide an FX version of Waverazor to support those types of DAWs, which makes Waverazor look like an EFX plugin, so it can be loaded into EFX busses. Our latest installer recommends not installing the WaverazorFX plugin, unless you know that your DAW does not support Synthesizer plugins in EFX slots. As more DAW manufacturers are now supporting this, we made the WaverazorFX installation an optional component.
I hope that helps explain our motivation. For example, with Tracktion Waveform, you do not need to install the WaverazorFX plugins, as Waveform is able to load Synthesizer plugins into any part of your signal flow.
Cheers! - Rob

Hi Rob, thank you for comming in.
I am using reaper (as the follower afterTracktion V2 temporary for years has vanished), ableton and now sometimes waveform again.
And all of them are able to use VSTi in the fx path (though Abletons nomenclature seem to be a bit different). So I have been a bit confused.

You are correct, almost all DAWs now allow the VSTi in the FX path these days. In the recent updates, I have changed the installer to -not- install the FX plugins by default and also added some text that says you probably don't need these. However, I still wanted to make WaverazorFX available for users with systems where they do need that configuration.midklang wrote: Mon Nov 26, 2018 4:05 pm some time ago?![]()
