I was testing MSpectralDynamics to remove some harsh resonances from the high part of the spectrum in some samples today. It worked well, but I was reminded of the very useful feature in MAutoDynamicEQ that detects the resonances automatically (see viewtopic.php?f=138&t=491081).
I was wondering: does it make sense to hope for a similar feature also in MSpectralDynamics, despite the fact that the two softwares are very different? Something that tries to shape the Threshold automatically in such situations, given a lower and an upper frequency limit. What do you think?

There is already the threshold learn functionality, you're aware of that right?

I'm trying to understand what you mean by the last bit though, do you want the threshold to adjust over time? If so, you could maybe do multiple captures and morph between them using a multi parameter, but the number of points makes that very difficult.

Do you mean the "Capture" feature? If so, yes, I know. I will play again with it, yes, it's certainly the solution. Today it was the first time for me trying to tame harsh resonances with MSpectralDynamics (I usually do it with MAutoDynamicEQ) and I still have to learn.

(No, I was not thinking about adjusting threshold over time; I had just in mind a feature of the other plugin, that allows to limit the action of the software only to a specific narrow frequency range, but using Capture solves also this problem.)

Thank you.
