Hello!

Since most Melda plugins are pretty complex and have lot of controls and parameters, I often need to know what I am tweaking and what's the exact description of some parameters. Instead of having to click on that ' ? ' icon, open a new window, scroll and find the parameter I'm looking for to get a information, etc, I think it would be so much easier and time saving to have a mouse over parameter info popping after a few seconds, like many other plugins. At least a short brief description.

What do you think?

While your mouse is over the parameter/ control that you are curious about, hit F1 and the info window will open (in most DAWs, but some steal that F1 key for their own use).

As a most important rule you should note, that you can always use any question mark button, or F1 (or Ctrl+F1 or Ctrl+H) key with the mouse cursor over a specified control, to get detailed information about what it does and how to use it.
My underlining.

Thanks guys.

Would still be quicker and more convenient to have a simple 2 sec. mouse over info floating box.

The problem is that some users (including myself) would find that pretty frustrating, as you may leave the mouse on a control while you're doing other things (e.g. using hardware controllers) and having (potentially) extensive help data cover the screen could obscure what you want to see... so if Melda implements this then there would be users (including myself) asking for a way to switch that behavior off, ha ha :)

It's quite common for programs/plugins with help bubbles or other "intrusive" help systems to have means to turn the feature on and off.

I'm more worried about the contents of the bubbles. It is probably much work to provide the exising help into a manner suitable for the bubbles. I'm thinking more about the editorial task at hand.

+1 I have often wished for Tooltips with a setting to enable/disable them. I think it would be very helpful while you're figuring out a plugin. Good point on all of the editing.

No quantum mechanics, really. A option to turn on/off the mouse over-info tips, there you go.
